The National Meeting of the Third Order, April 2018.

A meeting which brought together members of the Carmelite Third Order from all around Ireland took place in Gort Muire, Ballinteer, on Saturday, April 28th 2018.
The meeting was organised by the National Committee for Lay Carmel. The day was facilitated by Fr Míceál O’Neill, O.Carm.
There was input from two speakers: Mary Forrest and Fr Brian McKay, O.Carm. There was also discussions and sharing on what it means to be a Third Order Carmelite today.
The meeting began with Morning Prayer and ended with Evening Prayer, which was led by Fr Desmond Kelly, O. Carm.
An enjoyable day was had by all who attended. It is always a valuable exercise to come together and share not only our interest and understanding of Carmelite Spirituality, but also to hear each other's stories and experience. As it is through community that we grow in faith.
